Community Camera
From observational research, I found social interaction among our community where I lived was very low. The challenge was to design an intervention that increased engagement and wellbeing among place users. Design thinking and human wellbeing were harnessed to inform the creative process to promote positive relationships, enable pro-social behaviour and facilitate trust-building encounters.
The Community Camera engaged the neighbourhood with its fun and bold colour pallet, bringing them together through collaborative engagement.
The intervention was left outside my home with instructions on use, users were encouraged to take a photo, which would be displayed once the roll was finished. Helping locals engage with their environment and bringing them together, during and after the interaction where they can see users who also took part, encouraging social interaction.
